Festival Branding

The Dublin City Council approached to take care of the branding for Canalaphonic 2016.
Canalaphonic is a Music and Culture Festival that takes place in Dublin, most specifically in the Portobello area.  

Portobello is a very hipster neighbourhood in the south part of Dublin with alternative bars, that stands out for its canal.

They needed a logo and a whole set of graphics to promote the event: a weekend with activities and gigs all over different venues.

Target: young individuals and hipster families
Graphics and fonts: casual, vibrant and funky
Colours: Yellow (sunshine) + Blue (water)
Tagline: Making waves in Dublin

The visuals bring all those elements together: the music, the waves, and also the Rathmines district with its characteristic clock tower.
